How to improve your child’s reading skills
It is an old saying that “reading and writing often go hand-in-hand.”
Children develop reading and writing skills at very different rates, so the speed at which they learn to read can vary widely. Educational gurus have come up with number of ways of advising parents and teachers of nursery going kids in UAE improve their reading skills
1. Read together every day
Read daily with your child. You could take turns reading pages or sentences, depending on her age. Practice makes perfect. Set aside some reading time every day.
2. Keep loads of books around
Generally children will read everything they see around them so keep books and magazines readily available and easy to reach and read.
3. Make words accessible.
In order to help very early readers, stick name labels on doors, windows, and pieces of furniture to help them learn everyday words at levels that are within eye level.

9. Find an enjoyable genre
As children get older they love with fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, mysteries, or historical fiction, let them read from this genre to their heart’s content.

A library not only allows kids to choose books from a wide range of subjects but they develop skills in searching for books by subject area or alphabetically by author’s name which can be both interesting and enjoyable!
