Getting too many calories is a problem for many overweight kids. In addition to getting enough physical activity each day, these children often need to decrease their portion sizes and cut back on some calories. And on the other hand, many kids don’t drink enough milk, which is unfortunate because fortified milk is a good source of many important vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients.

It is advisable to avoid distractions such as TV, laptops or games while eating. While your baby is learning to eat, they need as much positive interaction from you as possible. They need to make a positive association with mealtime and learn how to chew and manage their food appropriately.  Also, it is a great way to start the routine and have your child always knows that the TV is off for meals. It is also important that they make interaction with other family members during their meals which will become a family-time in the future and will definitely pave a way to value their family.

Some kids seem to be born good sleepers, and some don’t. The good news is that falling asleep is a matter of habit, and all kids can learn it. It may take some time to develop that habit, but your busy toddler can learn to put himself to sleep and to stay asleep, eventually. Healthy sleeping habit is necessary for the start of next day to go on with their brain growth, learning process, physical growth and auto-human processes such as digestion. So, every kid should have proper hours of sleep depending on their age.
